My husband and I established Niagara Business Brokerage in 1997. The firm's mandate was to coordinate the sale of small/medium sized businesses (including franchises)worth in excess of $1M, to qualified buyers. NBB offered a customized, professional approach to help business owners sell their business. For business sellers we performed a business valuation, wrote a prospectus of the business opportunity, marketed the business to qualified buyers across North America then facilitated the transaction to close.

Building all of the components of a franchise entity was a massive undertaking. Once the Business Plan and Operation Manuals were created the real work began; selling the business concept, establishing and supporting other franchisees and managing our own corporate owned facilities. My personal responsibilities and accomplishments of the business were as follows:
- Recruited 24 franchisees across four US states
- Trained 24 independent franchisees in diverse areas relating to sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, staffing, and general office management
- Managed and organized corporate-owned facilities in the United States (PaintMedic)
- Analyzed different franchise business models, industry trends and retail buying patterns resulting in the ongoing reinvention and improvement to strategic methodologies
- Designed and published comprehensive manuals governing franchise operations in areas of sales, marketing and human resources (see below)
- Designed and produced a corporate web site and all marketing materials (print, radio and television) to support franchise sales and individual franchise service promotion
