Management Consultant May 2015-Present
I have spent my 30 year career working with and motivating people: listening to them, communicating effectively with them, understanding them, managing them and training them. This experience is my foundation as a talented management consultant in the Niagara, Hamilton Toronto areas.
I will use different skills, tools, exercises and strategies to keep a meeting, group discussion and/or individual mentoring moving smoothly towards each client's end goals.

The most recent chapter in my life centers around teaching at the post-secondary school level. The nature of the curriculum in Colleges in Ontario is less theoretical and more applied. Professors are recruited for the richness of experience they can bring into their classroom. Learning and implementing pedagogy, establishing a vibrant, entertaining classroom and punctuating lessons with my experience has turned out to be an incredibly rewarding vocation. After six years of teaching I am able to cover a broad and varying range of subjects across multiple departments, adapting to the needs of students and thus delivering well received lessons.

Although I have been a teaching assistant for a third year Ethics Course, at Brock University in St. Catharines Ontario since the final semester of my MBA, I have recently been assigned to create and teach two Marketing Management courses to second year students. These courses were particularly interesting given they are designed to be interactive, case base formats delivered to a class of 100-175 students! I designed a 'flipped' curriculum where the students would review material through an on-line pre-test prior to the lecture. I would deliver the course material during the lecture and the unit would be completed by applying the learning with group case work. The student's review of this course was humbling and flattering.

My husband and I established Niagara Business Brokerage in 1997. At NBB we coordinated the sale of small-medium sized businesses (including franchises) to qualified buyers. In 2000 we created our own franchise entity, Carsmetics (Canada) and PaintMedic (USA). Over the next 8 years we recruited 24 franchisees across Canada and four US states. We sold the business in 2009.

The training and development I received at Glaxo Smith Kline a world ranked pharmaceutical company, was second to none. I learned from the very best the execution of the following skills: complex sales, customer service, management techniques, and strategy development. In 1995 I was promoted to Manager of Health Strategies for Ontario. I was instrumental in the development of this department. My role was to establish partnerships with private sector employers in an effort to help them manage their workplace health thus minimizing absenteeism due to illness.
