Shortly after I won a competition for a full-time Professorship in the Office Administration Department, I was named the Department's Coordinator. In the Summer of 2018, I transferred to the Department of Sales/Marketing and Entrepreneurship and have since been named the Co-ordinator of the General Business Diploma Program. Beyond interfacing with students, staff, my Chair, and our Advisory Committee, I am in charge of overseeing curriculum development, and representing our department throughout the College and the community. I see this role as recruiting, quarterbacking, and taking counsel from talented, knowledgeable people.

I have also taught at Brock University (2010): two third year university courses Marketing Management 3P24, Business Ethics 3P82 (lead over 20 seminar groups, TA) and second year Marketing courses , Marketing and Marketing Management; MKTG 2P51 and MKTG 2P52 respectively.
International Experience

In my final year of my Master in Business Administration degree I did a research project on Chinese students' experience in Canadian post-secondary schools. This research was very eye opening. After completing it I had an in-depth appreciation into the challenges and the courage of a student studying in a unfamiliar culture. Since completing this research I have tried to bring the international students' perspective into focus for our Canadian students. My courses are punctuated with inclusion, acceptance and tolerance of diverse people.
In 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 I taught at Osnabruck University of Applied Science in Germany. Students must attend a business course in English. Exposure to different business environments is a key learning at this University. I taught a 30 hour workshop entitled Selling Strategies that Work in Canada and the United States.

Personal Accomplishments

I see myself as a well-rounded person who is able to bring decades of experiences into the classroom; employment in corporate Canada, private business ownership, community leadership, life-long learning and last but certainly not least, personal relationship experience being a wife to John and mother to Elyse, John and Eric. All these life journeys have contributed to the stories, examples and applications I use throughout my teaching vocation.
