When the decision was made to sell Niagara Business Brokerage the question of where my career should go next arose. Following a degree of soul searching, I found my way to Niagara College. The Faculty of Business Administration welcomed my offer to teach but without a Master level of education, a full-time professorship was out of reach. My application to Brock University's MBA program was accepted (January 2009). Over the following 30 months I carried a full-time teaching load at Niagara College while completing the 20 course requirement to earn my MBA. I graduated at the top of my class in June 2011.

Research-
International Students One of the most interesting projects of my MBA journey was my research on the Chinese student's experience in a Canadian University. Understanding the international students' experience is critical to any professor's role in guiding the students towards academic success. ![]()

Research-
Technology The effective use of technology in today's workplace and classroom is critical. Research during my MBA in this area made me more comfortable with the use of technology in my classroom. The thoughtful use of technology to deliver curriculum can enhance a learning environment for students. ![]()

The month prior to graduating with my MBA from Brock University, I received an invitation to attend the Beta Gamma Sigma inductee ceremony. I was to be honored as a Beta Gamma Sigma recipient. Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Only the highest grade point averages in a graduating class are invited to join. I was inducted into this prestigious society in a ceremony following my graduation ceremony.

I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. I certainly grew up going away to university directly from high school, six hours from my home town. In addition to learning a great deal about psychology, I sure had a lot of fun!?
